Biennale 2019

In the second half of 2018, my family and I headed off from our comfy home in Western Victoria, Australia, to spend eight months exploring this wide, brown land of ours. In a tent.

Along the way, I had a lot of time to think. And ask questions. I also took a lot of photos.

This collection of words and images is the result of all that thinking and observing. I’m not sure I found too many answers, but I certainly discovered some pretty amazing parts of Australia.

The images and words are part of my show – Wide. Brown. Blue. It is part of the Open Program of the 2019 Ballarat International Photo Biennale. Head along to the Hydrant Food Hall during September and October to see them really big!

Read the stories that accompany the pictures here.
