rafters and roofing
After the huge effort of erecting the main part of the frame, it was time to potter along with the fiddly bits.
During these few weeks, we installed the rafters, collar ties and tie beams. Closing followed by the purlins used to attach the roofing to. The roof structure then needed to be braced with hoop iron.
During all that, the termite protected was laid, the bricks delivered and finally, the roof laid. We now have a roof over our heads and can begin the process of filling in the gaps with bricks and windows.
